FOOD SAFETY TRAINING & CERTIFICATION FOR MANAGERS AND EMPLOYEES


Food safety is a training designed to promote food safety, consumer protection and protect the public from foodborne illnesses. It was developed to assess the competencies of food service managers in the retail food industry. Food safety training is a mandatory aspect for running a successful food and beverage establishment. Every year the CDC estimates 48 million foodborne illnesses, 128,000 hospitalizations and 3000 deaths in the US alone. A recent research aired on Good Morning America concluded that at least 70% of food establishments in the United States are contaminated. Is your restaurant among the 70%?

Most foodborne illnesses are caused by foods that have been:

  • Handled by infected food workers who practice poor personal hygiene.

  • Exposed to unsafe temperatures.

  • Exposed to disease causing agents by contamination and cross contamination.

  • Remember it only takes 2 or more people to get ill from a foodborne illness like Salmonella to be considered an outbreak.

We provide you with the food safety training and testing required by every state, but we also provide you with a new style of training that you can only get with SARU INTERNATIONAL, LLC!

Food Safety Training and Certification for Managers Class:

  • On-site classes provided, minimum 5 or more (depending on distance an on-site fee may be assessed). 

  • Class is 8 hours including exam time and breaks. 

  • Exam is 80 questions and you are required to pass with a score of 75% or higher.

  • Certification is good for 5 years.

  • Saru International, LLC has set a higher standard for its students. We have set our passing score at 85% or higher to prepare you pass with the state requirements. For more info please contact us.


Our job is to prepare you for the exam by providing you with all the information necessary to pass the state certification using the Health Guard series for managers curriculum. A series of up to 125 quiz questions is given during class to further prepare you for the exam. Certificates are mailed to students within 5-10 business days

Food Handlers Training and Certificate Class:

  • On-site classes  provided, minimum 10 or more students per class (depending on distance an on-site fee may be assessed). 

  • Class is 3-4 hours

  • On-line classes provided   

  • Test is 40 questions. 

  • Passing score requirement is 70% or higher      

  • Certificate is good for 3 years   

  • Saru International highly recommends students to pass with a 90% or higher

  • Certificates are available same day
